Welcome to the first edition of P2C Flash, designed to amplify the voices of pledgers and spotlight their impactful commitments to advancing global connectivity and digital transformation. With over 1000 pledges from 466 entities across 147 countries, the Partner2Connect (P2C) Digital Coalition continues to drive meaningful change in the digital landscape. It’s essential for us to highlight the ongoing efforts of our pledge makers. P2C Flash will serve as a monthly edition focused exclusively on showcasing these contributions, from inspiring impact stories, through government initiatives, P2C Champions, local innovative actions to new pledges, with the aim of fostering a global community united by the mission of universal connectivity. Join us as we bring these efforts to the forefront, showcasing the diverse initiatives that are shaping the future of sustainable digital transformation worldwide.

The Pledge Highlights section shines a spotlight on specific pledges made by pledge makers that align with key international days celebrated each month. These pledges reflect the ongoing efforts of the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition (P2C) to advance digital inclusion and connectivity, particularly in alignment with global observances that raise awareness on crucial issues. By showcasing these pledges, we demonstrate how the collective action of P2C partners is contributing to global goals and driving impactful change around the world.

Elle International: Advancing Women’s Health Through Innovation

Elle International is committed to transforming women’s health in Sub-Saharan Africa through innovative solutions like the Womany app, which seeks to democratize healthcare access for women. In South Africa alone, the gynecologist-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:33,000, highlighting the urgent need for broader access to specialized women’s health professionals. This is where Womany comes in.
The app tracks menstrual and fertility cycles, detects signs of serious gynecological conditions such as endometriosis and fibroids, and provides tailored support and insights based on symptoms of hormonal imbalances during perimenopause. It also connects users with a supportive community and verified healthcare professionals.
With AI-driven diagnostics and comprehensive symptom monitoring, Womany delivers personalized health insights to improve health outcomes. Elle International’s commitment not only enhances women’s health and well-being but also fosters connectivity, equipping women with the tools to navigate their health journeys—both personally and professionally—at every stage of their reproductive lives.


Global Digital Inclusion Partnership – Advancing Digital Gender Equality

The Global Digital Inclusion Partnership (GDIP) is dedicated to advancing digital gender equality by addressing the costs of women’s exclusion from meaningful connectivity. Through comprehensive research, GDIP highlights the socio-economic, educational, and developmental losses caused by this exclusion, emphasising the urgent need for gender-responsive digital policies and investments. By leveraging evidence-based insights, GDIP is advocating for policy makers and practitioners to design and implement strategies that promote digital inclusion for women in the global majority. This commitment aims to empower women, enhance economic opportunities, and foster sustainable development through equitable digital access.










The Impact Stories section shines a spotlight on the real-world transformations made possible through the P2C commitments. These stories bring to life the tangible benefits of connectivity, showcasing how innovative partnerships and bold initiatives are breaking barriers and empowering communities around the world. From improving access to education and healthcare to fostering economic growth and inclusion, these narratives reveal the human impact behind the numbers, reminding us of the collective potential to create a digitally inclusive future for all.

Chicos.net: Historias Para Armar – Digital Storytelling for the 21st Century 


Historias para armar, developed by Chicos.net in collaboration with Disney, is a transformative digital storytelling platform that empowers Latin American children to create and share their own narratives. By providing free, accessible resources, the initiative fosters the development of 21st-century skills, promotes inclusion, and bridges the digital divide.
Through a series of interactive tools and tutorials, children are guided through the process of crafting stories, from ideation to publication. The platform supports various formats, including animations, video games, and audio stories, allowing young creators to express their ideas in diverse and engaging ways.
To date, over 400,000 unique users have engaged with the platform, with more than 48,000 teachers integrating it into their classrooms, reaching over 1,000,000 children. The initiative has facilitated the creation of over 190,000 stories, underscoring its significant role in digital literacy and creative expression.
A notable achievement is the installation of Historias para armar on 100,000 laptops across all public schools in Buenos Aires, ensuring widespread access to digital storytelling resources. This initiative exemplifies the power of collaboration in enhancing digital education and empowering the next generation of storytellers.

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT): Contribution To India’s Economic Progress By The Expansion Of Data Center Construction And Information Infrastructure Within The Country

NTT, a global leader in data center services, has significantly bolstered India’s digital infrastructure since 2012. As of January 2025, NTT operates 19 data centers across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru, with nine additional facilities under construction. This expansion reflects NTT’s commitment to supporting India’s economic development and enhancing quality of life by meeting the escalating demand for data communication and processing, driven by advancements in AI, e-commerce, and social media. NTT has three campuses in Mumbai and implemented its All Photonic Networks to connect them while it is operating renewable energy plants to provide 70% of its power consumption. Furthermore, NTT’s Noida 2 campus in Delhi National Capital Region, is India’s first data center to incorporate seismic dampers, ensuring operational resilience during earthquakes. NTT’s dedication to providing reliable, high-quality data centers underpins India’s digital transformation.

Each new pledge brings us a step closer to a more inclusive and digitally connected world.

Bahamas Ministry of Economic Affairs

The DigiLearn Bahamas initiative, led by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Bahamas, is dedicated to empowering Bahamians by providing tuition-free digital skills training in ICT, Cybersecurity, E-Commerce, and more. By focusing on senior citizens and women, DigiLearn Bahamas aims to enhance digital literacy across various sectors, contributing significantly to national development. Through partnerships with institutions like the University of The Bahamas and the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute, DigiLearn Bahamas is building a stronger, more digitally inclusive society.

Dandemutande Investments Private Limited

Dandemutande Investments (Pvt) Limited’s proposal is to build a Tier 3 carrier-neutral data centre in Zimbabwe. The project aims to meet the growing demand for data services driven by digital transformation and economic growth. The data centre will provide high-quality, reliable, and scalable services in the Southern African Development Community creating jobs and economic activity, and contributing to the local tax base. It will target underserved segments such as small businesses, content providers, financial institutions, government agencies, and healthcare providers. The project aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting industry innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), and reduced inequalities (SDG 10) through improved access to digital services and economic opportunities.

Cyber Institute

As an international NGO, Cyber Institute is dedicated to advancing cyber and emerging technology policy and education, with a special focus on empowering women and minorities in underserved communities. Their pledge to enhance digital skills and advance cyber policy aligns seamlessly with our mission to foster inclusive connectivity. Through initiatives like the Cyber for Women program, they aim to break barriers and shape the future of cybersecurity, striving to impact over 1,000 individuals globally within the first three months of their 24-month effort.
Cyber Institute’s commitment to policy advocacy, capacity building, and ethical implementation of emerging technology underscores their dedication to securing a safe digital future for all. As a designated UN ECOSOC partner, their collaboration with international organizations, academia, and industry further enhances their efforts in addressing global cybersecurity challenges.

The P2C Champions section introduces the dedicated leaders and advocates driving the Partner2Connect Coalition’s mission forward. We currently have five P2C Champions: Amazon, Google, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Microsoft, USAID, and ZTE. In close coordination with the Secretariat, these Champions provide strategic guidance, shaping the Coalition’s direction and focus. As strong proponents of universal and meaningful connectivity and sustainable digital transformation, P2C Champions advocate for the Coalition’s growth across local, regional, and global levels. Here is a snapshot from one of our champions, upcoming editions will showcase other P2C Champions.

ZTE Corporation

ZTE’s innovative infrastructure projects are already shaping digital futures worldwide. In Africa, the company has deployed over 8,000 wireless base stations in Nigeria, delivered 3,850 sites five months ahead of schedule, and partnered with Egyptian Telecom to build over 9,300 MSAN sites. In South Africa, ZTE spearheaded the continent’s first independent 5G commercial network, accelerating connectivity across the region. Additionally, its collaboration with Ethio Telecom is driving the development of intelligent, green data centers to support Ethiopia’s digital transformation.
Aligned with the SAMOA Pathway and the Doha Program of Action, ZTE’s efforts are not just about infrastructure—they are about fostering sustainable development, enabling economic opportunities, and reducing digital inequalities across the globe.

The P2C in the World section showcases the global reach and influence of the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition, highlighting its diverse partnerships, success stories, and transformative commitments that are shaping the future of connectivity for all. By fostering collaboration between governments, private sector entities, civil society, and international organisations, P2C drives impactful initiatives ranging from grassroots projects to large-scale endeavours.

Provide Connectivity for 744 Local Government Secretariat, New Satellite Launch to Bridge the Digital Divide to Cover 70% of the Unconnected

The Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Ltd. is set to launch a new multi-band satellite and a dual-band satellite that will transform connectivity in sub-Saharan Africa, addressing the 70% underserved population. This initiative will enhance internet access in Nigeria, connecting 774 local government secretariats, over 30,000 Primary Health Centers, and 100,000 schools. Partnerships with rural telecom operators aim to expand mobile coverage, promoting financial and digital inclusion. By supporting smart agriculture, education, and specialised healthcare, this pledge bridges the digital divide, targeting 80% broadband coverage in rural areas by 2027. Additionally, the launch of NigComSat-2 and NigComSat-3 satellites will bolster SMEs, fostering economic growth and creating opportunities through satellite technology.

Empowering Education (SDG4): The Importance of 5G Commitment for Brazilian Schools

Brazil, through Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (Anatel), is driving impactful change in public education by prioritising connectivity under the National Strategy for Connected Schools (ENEC). With investments totalling 3.1 billion reais from the 5G Auction, this initiative aims to universalise broadband access for over 39,000 public schools by 2026. Early phases are focused on the North and Northeast regions, targeting rural, indigenous, and other underserved communities. By enhancing digital access for students and teachers, Anatel is addressing digital inequalities, fostering 21st-century learning, and aligning with global SDGs, including Quality Education (SDG 4) and Reducing Inequalities (SDG 10).

Continuously Improving Network
Capabilities in Border Areas

China Mobile is making significant strides in bridging the digital divide, with a pledge to invest over CNY 9 billion (approximately USD 1.2 billion) between 2024 and 2026. This initiative will focus on building 50,000 4G/5G base stations and over 60 million fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) ports, benefiting more than 75 million households in remote administrative villages across China. By expanding network coverage in underserved rural and border areas, China Mobile is laying the groundwork for digital rural revitalization and ensuring that high-quality communication services are accessible to those in even the most remote regions, thus fostering greater connectivity and socio-economic development.
